In the aftermath of the budget, MaltaToday asked people what they thought about the measures announced by Finance Minister Edward Scicluna in his budget speech on Monday. Public sentiment seems to be generally positive, with the increase in pensions and the fact that no new taxes were introduced proving the most popular measures among those interviewed.

The property buyers' schemes were also received well, however one woman felt not enough was done to create open spaces for children to play in.
