Man suffers serious injuries after falling from height

A 52-year-old man from Fgura suffered serious injuries after falling from a height at a residence in Senglea on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they were informed at around 4:30pm that assistance was needed at a property in Triq il-Mina tax-Xatt.

Officers immediately went on site, where preliminary investigations indicated the man had fallen from a height.

A medical team was called to the scene to assist, and the man was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing, alongside inquiries by the Occupational Health and Safety Authority.

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has been appointed to lead an inquiry.
