Three hospitalised in separate traffic accidents on Sunday
Three people hospitalised on Sunday after being injured in two separate traffic accidents in St Paul’s Bay and Nadur
Three people were hospitalised on Sunday after being injured in two separate traffic accidents.
The first incident occurred at around 3pm in Triq Tal-Miżieb, St Paul’s Bay. Preliminary investigations found that a 63-year-old man from Mellieħa lost control of the Volkswagen Scirocco he was driving and crashed into a wall.
The second accident took place at around 5:30pm in Triq Daħlet Qorrot, Nadur. Initial findings indicate that a 21-year-old woman from Santa Venera lost control of a CF Moto quadbike and crashed into a wall. A 29-year-old man from Ħal Għaxaq was also riding on the quadbike.
A medical team assisted at both scenes. The 63-year-old man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
The other two victims were taken to Gozo General Hospital, where they were also certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
