Two injured in late evening quad bike accident

A 43-year-old Estonian man and a 49-year-old Filipino woman were seriously injured on Tuesday evening following a traffic accident in Gozo.

Police said the incident occurred at around 8:15pm in Triq Ta’ Sannat, Sannat. Preliminary investigations showed that the man was driving a quad bike, with the woman riding as a passenger, when he lost control and they fell.

An ambulance was called to the scene and the injured were taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment, where they were later certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
