83-year-old man rescued after falling into Mġarr field

The Civil Protection Department carried out a search and rescue operation in Mġarr after receiving reports of a missing 83-year-old man.

The operation took place on Tuesday night, with CPD rescuers and police locating the man within 90 minutes of the initial report.

The man was found injured after falling into a field.

He was safely rescued and taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
