Migrant charged with €2,600 cash theft

A migrant from Togo was handed a suspended prison term after admitting to stealing €2,600 in cash from his employer.

Kofi Mensah Kofi, 34 from Togo and currently residing at the Hal Far Open Centre, was handed a two-year jail term, suspended for two years after he admitted to stealing €2,600 in cash from Ivan Hallet, his employer.

Kofi, allegedly took the money from the cash till at the stores where he worked at Crown's Ditch in Marsa, and hid them among the pallets.
