Two charged with heist on foreign exchange

Two men remanded in custody after being charged with a hold-up in 2010 on Fexco Foreign Exchange Bureau in Paceville.

Aaron Cassar, 32 and Joseph Grech, 49 both inmates at Corradino Prisons, were this afternoon charged with committing a hold-up on Fexco Foreign Exchange Bureau in Paceville in 2010.

Cassar and Grech were charged following a judgment handed recently jailing their alleged accomplice Keith Galea, who had revealed their names during his proceedings.

The two men, were charged with aggravated theft, possession of a firearm and holding persons against their will.

Both denied the charges.

Inspectors Joseph Mercieca and Nikolai Sant prosecuted.
