Former PN councillor Cyrus Engerer sues Prime Minister, PN president

In two libel suits filed this morning, former PN councillor Cyrus Engerer sued Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and PN President Marthese Portelli for damages.

Engerer, who was once a PN councillor in Sliema and later resigned and switched to Labour, is suing over an article appearing on the PN's website mychoice.pn.

He said that the content of the article was slanderous and alleged untruths, such as having 'stabbed' his fellow councillors in the back when he allegedly recorded them during a past meeting of the Sliema council.
