A 20-year-old woman was hospitalised last night after being involved in a car accident in Msida close to midnight yesterday.
The victim, a Mellieha resident, was a passenger in a car being driven by a young man, 19, from Fontana Gozo. Another 20-year-old woman, of Pieta, was also a passenger in the Volkswagen Golf.
According to a police report, the young man had lost control of his car and collided with a wall on Conception Street at about 11:40pm.
The Mellieha resident was hospitalised, and later declared to be suffering from grievous injuries. The other woman, according to police, suffered minor injuries while the young man was unharmed.
Police investigations are still under way.
