Man grievously injured in two-storey fall

A Sicilian man was hospitalised after sustaining grievous injuries in a two-storey fall.

At 12:30, the victim, who police said is likely to be 29 years old, fell off a scaffolding while carrying out maintenance work in an establishment in Salvu Psaila Road, Birkirkara.

An ambulance conveyed the man to hospital to receive treatment for his serious injuries.

Duty magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo ordered an inquiry into the case.
