Two men were arrested in connection to the discovery of a number of cocaine sachets
A raid by the police force’s Drugs Squad in Safi yesterday night resulted in two men being arrested.
26 cocaine sachets ready for trafficking, were found hidden in a fridge compressor of a bar.
Police sources said that other objects related to drug trafficking were also found.
As a result, a 33-year-old man, resident of Hamrun, was arrested.
At the same location, a 35-year-old Zurrieq resident was also arrested when a search on his person led to the discovery of more sachets containing cocaine. Further searches on the 35-year-old’s car and residence yielded yet more sachets.
