Argument leaves two men injured

A Gharghur man suffered grievous injuries in an altercation at a block of apartments in St Paul's Bay

An argument between two middle-aged men and a teenager has led to one being hospitalised and the other seeking medical assistance at a health centre.

According to police, the argument broke out at about 2:00am on Triq it-Turisti, St Paul’s Bay, in the common area of a block of apartments. A 46-year-old Gharghur resident, a 50-year-old Englishman and a 19-year-old Gharghur resident were involved.

The 46-year-old man was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital, where doctors determined he was suffering from grievous injuries, while the Briton was taken to medical centre for treatment.

Police confiscated a screwdriver from the scene.

Investigations are still ongoing.
