You’ve been asking for it, and the wait is soon over
MaltaToday on Sunday will publish its first survey of the 2026 general election campaign, offering a detailed snapshot of the electoral race so far.
The survey, carried out over the past two weeks, will be published in MaltaToday’s Sunday print edition, on maltatoday.com.mt, and the newspaper’s social media pages.
The survey measures voting intentions and trust in the two party leaders at a crucial stage of the campaign, as parties battle to convince undecided voters and consolidate support.
Respondents were also asked who they trust most to handle five issues expected to define the election campaign: cost of living, spending power, traffic, the economy and population growth.
The survey provides an indication of which party is leading on the issues dominating public debate.
MaltaToday has been holding regular political surveys for more than two decades.MaltaToday’s last survey, published in March, showed a gap of 7,500 votes between the Labour and Nationalist parties, while Robert Abela enjoyed a six-point lead over Alex Borg.
