Omar Rababah says sister’s tyres slashed while collecting child from school
PL candidate Omar Rababah has faced a wave of racial and religious slurs directed at him on social media after annoucing that he would be contesting the general election
Labour Party candidate Omar Rababah revealed that his sister’s tyres were slashed while she was picking up her child from school.
Rababah took to Facebook to insist that politics should never descend to this level, expressing his fear that people have directed their attacks toward his family.
“We may disagree, we may criticize each other, but we must never lose our respect and humanity,” Rababah said.
This comes as Rababah announced that he would be contesting the general election on the PL ticket, consequently facing a wave of racial and religious slurs directed at him on social media.
A social worker and human rights activist, Rababah said his campaign would be a simple one focused on fighting poverty, homelessness, and solitude, and on dialogue between all.
