64% of early voters cast ballot by 2pm Thursday

Around 64% of eligible early voters had cast their ballot by 2pm on Thursday ahead of the 30 May general election.

The Electoral Commission said 736 votes were cast out of 1,143 registered voters, who are hospital patients eligible for early voting.

The Electoral Commission also reminded voters that Thursday, 28 May 2026, is the final day for voters to collect their voting documents ahead of polling day. 

Voting documents may be collected from the Electoral Commission’s offices at the Counting Hall at the former Trade Fair Grounds in Naxxar, as well as from the Electoral Office in Triq Ta’ Wara s-Sur in Victoria, Gozo, for voters registered in Gozo.
