Delays continue to haunt Arriva

Public transport commuters continued to face delays and disruption in service, as issues related to shortage of drivers persisted to haunt Arriva.

In a statement issued this morning, Arriva apologised to customers affected by the delays, and thanked them in advance for their patience should they experience any delays.

Since Arriva took over the public transport sector on July 3, some 180 drivers did not turn up for work causing major disruptions to the service and sending schedules into chaos.

60 foreign drivers have since been brought to Malta.
