Ta' Qali to get lavish extension for recreational park
The ministry for resources and rural affairs today unveiled a new masterplan for the Ta’ Qali, which will be enhanced with an extended public space for the national park.
Minister George Pullicino said the new €5.5 million area will include a toddlers’ area, a water park, a skate park, a petting farm, a butterfly house and a cycling track.
“This extension is the fifth we’ve had in the last seven years… this masterplan will offer a space of over 23,000 square metres of open land,” Pullicino said.
The place is currently being used as a car park. Another car park will be built to accommodate 571 cars, as well as new parking space for patrons of the Ta’ Qali gymnasium.
