MCESD meeting discusses Libya tomorrow, Forum registers complaint

'Government pursues exclusionary policy towards us' - Forum

The 11-union confederation Forum is once again sounding its protest at its absence from a meeting by the Malta Council for Economic Social Development that will discuss business conditions in post-Gaddafi Libya tomorrow.

Forum is not represented on the MCESD.

“We hear that Air Malta is to start flights to Tripoli very soon. This certainly impacts pilots, cabin crew and engineers who are also affiliated in Forum unions, but government is still excluding these thousands of workers,” Forum secretary-general Paul Pace said.

“Government prefers shutting out mouth rather than allowing us to contribute to such an important council like the MCESD.”
