Transport Malta denies parts of Regional Road on brink of collapse

MaltaToday has been informed by a number of concerned readers that parts of Regional Road were on the brink of collapse, evident from cracks forming on the underpass linking the sports complex to the Tal-Qroqq University ring road.

The underpass has also been supported by planks and a new height limitation bar placed.

A rising concern is that tropical downpours, like ones which occurred earlier this month, could exacerbate the problem.

Investigating the reports, MaltaToday visited the underpass and found that the cracks in question were quite wide.
