Alternattiva Demokratika claims discrimination by Xarabank
Greens claim discrimination for being invited to audience, and not panel on IVF and cohabitation laws.
Alternattiva Demokratika - the Green Party said that Xarabank was discriminating against it by inviting it in audience for Fridays programme on IVF and cohabitation, whilst inviting PN and PL on the programme panel. AD said that the Broadcasting Authority should stop such discriminatory behaviour.
"Decent public broadcasting requires a level playing field," AD chairperson Michael Briguglio said.
"We are in an election campaign, which started with the mass meetings on 20 and 22 September. The Maltese people have a right to listen to the ideas proposed by the three established parties to judge on their merits.
"The five members of the Broadcasting Authority, all nominated by PN and PL should prove that they are not the slaves of their political masters but that they have a mind of their own and that are working in favour of pluralism in Malta and not of perpetuating the interests of their political masters."
