Italy’s Terzi in phone call with Zammit Dimech

A spokesman for the foreign ministry in Rome said that foreign minister Giulio Terzi telephoned Zammit Dimech today, congratulating him on his important appointment.

"Minister Terzi stressed Italy's intentions to work closely with Zammit Dimech, and to continue fostering the strong ties that exist between the two counties on all levels," the spokesman said.

He added that Terzi praised the recent success of the 5 5 meeting which was held in Malta between a number of Heads of Government, including Italy's Prime Minister Mario Monti.

Terzi also invited Francis Zammit Dimech for official talks in Rome.
