Bunker fuel deliveries off Malta are expected to be suspended over the weekend due to forecasts of  strong winds and high swells. Sources said forecasts are calling for gale force winds this weekend.

"We are planning to postpone all our offshore deliveries due to high swells until the weather improves," Platts quoted a bunker trader in Malta as saying.

As is typical for this time of the year in the Mediterranean basin, bad weather is set to force Malta and other ports to close, causing bunker fuel delivery disruptions.
