Rockestra soon to be declared ‘sold-out’

Rockestra, which will rock the MFCC next Saturday, is set to be sold-out by Tuesday or Wednesday according to Mro Sigmund Mifsud. 

It seems the fact that this will be the last Rockestra under the patronage of President George Abela has spurred the public not to miss this charitable event. All proceedings will go to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

In comments given to Sunday newspaper ‘Illum’, Mifsud said the President’s backing was crucial and that other producers had turned down his idea of setting a Rock concert to promote local talent.

Mifsud also said it is premature to predict whether Rockestra will be changed or not next year; It will be the first time under a new President.
