5,458 traffic tickets issued in Gozo since 2013

2,198 tickets were issued in 2013, 2,309 in 2014, and 951 in 2015 up until the date of questioning

5,458 traffic tickets have been issued in Gozo since 2013, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela revealed.

Responding to a parliamentary question by shadow Gozo minister Chris Said, Abela said that 2,198 tickets were issued in 2013, 2,309 in 2014, and 951 in 2015 up until the date of questioning.

The vast majority of tickets were issued in the capital Victoria- 1,359 in 2013, 1,215 in 2014, and 550 in 2015. 572 were issued in Marsalforn over the two and a half years in question, 260 in Nadur, 243 in Xlendi, and 236 in Mgarr.
