15 police officers charged in court since 2013

Charges include attempted murder, corruption and bribery, tampering of evidence, robbery, and dangerous driving

15 police officers have been charged in court between 2013 and 2015, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela revealed.

The information was given in response to a series of parliamentary questions by Opposition MP Carm Mifsud Bonnici.

The charges range from attempted murder, corruption and bribery, assault, tampering of evidence and fraud. Three officers were charged with dangerous driving, two on aggravated robbery and two on charges of illegally distributing voting documents.
