In the Press: Schembri denies company's presence in tax haven

The PM's chief of staff Keith Schembri denied that his company has a presence in Panama or the British Virgin Islands. The Times revealed documents that show that a 'Kasco Holdings' company is registered in Panama. Schembri called the questioning 'unfounded speculation'.

During a political event in Ghajnsielem, PN leader Simon Busuttil said the Nationalist party was offering the Maltese people their only source of hope in politics.

Nationalist MP Toni Bezzina said the government was pursuing the issue of deputy PN leader Beppe Fenech Adami's property and planning situation as a way to distract the public from the larger scandals emerging.

Energy minister Konrad Mizzi denied any connection between the relocation of a shell company in Mizzi's name and the sale of Gasol's shares in the Electrogas consortium. He declined however to answer further questions on other financial maneuverings.
