Maltese soldiers assist cruise-liner passenger injured at sea

The Armed Forces of Malta transferred an injured man from a cruise-liner to Haywarf base where he was taken to hospital by ambulance

Early this morning, the Rescue Co-ordination Centre of the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) assisted a passenger who was injured while on a cruise-liner, the AFM said in a statement.

The AFM dispatched the Melita I Search and Rescue Boat to assist an injured passenger aboard the Mein Schiff 2 cruise-liner.

According to the AFM, the man in question was transferred to Haywarf base via the Melita I, and taken to hospital by ambulance.
