Video shows Taliban killing 16 policeman
A video braodcasted by BBC shows 16 policeman lined up with their hands tied behind their backs and a Taliban waiting to execute them.
According to the BBC, the footage appears to have been in taken in the north-west of Pakistan. The original video has been released by the Taliban.
The execution of the 16 policeman is said to date from June when militants crossed the Afghan border and captured police. According to a Pakistani army spokesman, the video appears to be authentic.
The bodies had been discovered by locals once the militants had left.
Before the execution, the Taliban leader gives a speech:
"These are the enemies of Islam who originated from Pakistan. They are the Pakistani police, soldiers and their supporters who recently lined up six kids in Swat and shot them execution style. These Pakistanis are now our captive and we will avenge the death of the children by doing the same to them."
