League leaders Hibernians are back to winning ways after they defeated Balzan 1-0.

Hibernians had to work hard for their victory as Balzan's defence were in excellent form.

Bjorn Kristensen's effort on the 44th minute manage to beat goalkeeper Jacob Cipriott.

Hibernians almost scored a second on the 82nd minute when Jackson Lima hit the woodwork with his powerful shot.

Mosta shocked Sliema Wanderers with a 3-2 victory putting a end to their three game losing streak.

Sliema took the lead on the 9th minute when Abubakar Bello-Osagie scored from the penalty spot after a Mosta defender handled the ball inside the area.

Mosta were back in the match on the 29th minute. Off a corner by Yuri Messias, Tyrone Farrugia headed the ball in goal past goalkeeper Henry Bonello.

On the 36th minute, Mosta doubled their lead thanks to Gianmarco Piccioni's powerful shot.

Mosta increased their lead on the 55th minute. Off a pass by Yuri Messias, Gianmarco Pioccioni scored his second of the night.

Sliema managed to reduce the gap on the 69th minute. Mathias Mucardi's shot left no chance for goalkeeper Omar Borg.

Sliema almost leveled matters in the closing minutes when Alex Muscat hot the woodwork with his shot on goal.

Valletta continue to stay close to Hibernians in the BOV Premier League standings after they defeat Tarxien 3-0.

Valletta had to wait till the 44th minute before they scored their first goal of the match. A great shot from the right by Denni Rocha dos Santos left no chance for goalkeeper Nicky Vella.

On the 65th minute, Valletta were awarded a penalty after Nicky Vella brought Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza. From the penalty spot Denni Rocha dos Santos beat goalkeeper Anthony Curmi with his shot.

On the 90th minute, Valletta made sure they collected all three points when they made it 3-0. Aziz Corr Nyang concluded a great solo effort by having his powerful shot beat goalkeeper Anthony Curmi.
