Balzan's unbeaten run continues

Balzan’s unbeaten run continued this evening as Oliver Spiteri’s side registered a fine 3-0 win over St. Andrews to sustain their position at the top.

Balzan went ahead on the 13th minute. The St. Andrews defence failed to clear their lines and the ball fell for Abdel Karim Nafti who fired a shot that gave Jake Galea no chance.

The current league leader managed to double the score on the brink of half time. Paul Fenech fired a stunning shot that hit the post before ending up inside the net.

Balzan made it 3-0 on the 58th minute. Metteo Piciollo was brought down inside the penalty area by Michale Johnson and Stefan Pace pointed to the spot. From the eleven metres mark, Bojan Kaljevic converted.
