Freedom Day regatta postponed again due to bad weather

Freedom Day regatta postponed to Saturday 11 April, following updated forecasts indicating strong winds on Sunday

The Freedom Day Regatta has once again been rescheduled, with the event now set to take on Saturday 11 April.

This was announced via a Facebook post from Regatta Malta, saying that, "due to the weather forecast indicating that Sunday 12th will be strong winds, continuation of the regatta Jum il Helsien 2026 will be scheduled for next Saturday 11th"

Last week, the regatta was postponed due to bad weather, but organisers have now decided to move it earlier in response to new forecasts predicting strong winds on Sunday.

The first race is set to start at 10am, with organisers aiming to complete the event to crown this year’s winners.
