Marsaskala Aquatic crowned BOV Waterpolo 1st Division champions

Marsaskala Aquatic were crowned BOV Waterpolo Winter League 1st Division champions following a hard-fought victory over Exiles Welbee’s in an anticipated decider match that brought the season to a thrilling end.

Marsaskala Aquatic edged past Exiles Welbee’s with a score of 11–10, with a highly balanced match from start to finish.

While both sides exchanged goals throughout, Marsaskala Aquatic ultimately managed to hold a slender advantage in the closing stages, resisting late pressure from Exiles to secure a win in one of the closest encounters this season.

At the presentation ceremony, the trophy was awarded to the Marsaskala Aquatic captain by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta, together with Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, marking the conclusion of a highly competitive and successful season.
