Music, wine and romance at the Malta Arts Festival

July 1

Wayne Marshall and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra

World renowned conductor Wayne Marshall will be conducting the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra at the Mediterranean Conference Centre at 21:00.

July 2, 3

Katharsis: De Cura Animae Suae

A modern mystical play by the Laboratorio Di Castaldo Theatre Ensemble will take place at the Auberge d’Italie, Valletta at 21:00. Actors taking part are Domenico Castaldo, Katia Capato, Marta Laneri, Francesca Netto and Claudio Andres Santana Borquez. Entrance is free.

July 2 – 4

Strada Wine & Art Festival

The wine and art festival will be taking place on South and Straight streets in Valletta, at which viewers can view a number of exhibitions while enjoying a glass of wine. The event is coordinated by Kris Fenech Soler.

July 2 – 23

Spaces/Spazji

A visual art project comprising works by Sean Gabriel Ellul, Fabrizio Ellul, Ruth Bianco, Anton Grech and James Micallef Grimaud will be taking place along Strait Street, Valletta between 10:00 – 19:00. Free Entrance.

July 3 – 13

The Hulda Festival: A Journey of Art and Science

The Hulda festival, celebrating the coalescence of arts and sciences around Hulda (the 100 year old sailing boat belonging to the Turkish-Swedish artist Ilhan Koman) will be taking place at Grand Harbour Marina in Birgu from 10:00 – 13:00 and 17:00 – 22:00. A Romantic Universe: Chopin & Schumann Cello and Piano Recital

Cellist Enrico Dindo and pianist Monica Cattarossi will be performing at the President’s Palace Courtyard in Valletta at 21:00. Tickets are at €15, reduced €10.
