Following last year’s success, a high level of interest has been registered in applications for this year’s Notte Bianca, the spectacular celebration of arts and culture held annually in Valletta.

Now in its ninth year, Notte Bianca attracts over 60,000 people to the capital each year, making it the largest cultural event in Valletta. Last year recorded the highest audiences ever. Applications for this year’s edition have now closed.

In the best interest of cultural programming, this year’s Notte Bianca will be held on Saturday 4 October.

With over 1,000 participants and over 100 events - from street and performing arts to visual arts and new media, from live music to literature, food and fairs -  last year’s Notte Bianca succeeded in retaining the features which make it so well-loved while introducing a fresh vision and exciting new concepts.

This year’s edition will retain the structure while focusing even further on interactivity and contemporary works, said artistic director Sean Buhagiar.

Notte Bianca is supported by The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. For more information call on 2339 7000 or email [email protected]
