Eric Himy Recital
The Manoel Theatre, in collaboration with the US Embassy in Malta is presenting a recital by American pianist Eric Himy. A graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School of New York, Himy has performed widely all over the USA, in several South American countries, in France, Spain, Italy, Monaco, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Russia as well as in Egypt and Morocco. Tea for Two
A concert dedicated to the delightful and lively rendering of some classic songs featured in classic musical films will be taking place at the Sagrestia Vault, Valletta Waterfront. Scrooge: A Christmas Panto
MADC’s panto – based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel – will be playing at the MFCC Conference Centre, Ta’ Qali. Written and starring Alan Montanaro as the Dame, with Colin Willis as Scrooge, Adrian Gatt as the Baddie Mach A. Villain and Isabelle Warrington as Mrs Cratchitt. Directed by Nanette Brimmer. Shows start at 20:00. Tickets are at €10, €15, €20 (there is a €5 discount on €15 and €20 tickets only for children aged 12 and under). Booking is open online at MADC’s website www.madc.biz. Cinderella – The Panto
FM Theatre’s Christmas Panto – scripted by and starring  Edward Mercieca as ugly sister Fallina Blafloos will take place at the Manoel Theatre. Anne Frank – A History for Today
The travelling exhibition makes use of images from the Frank family photo albums and quotations from the Diary of Anne Frank, and will be displayed at the Auberge de Castille, Valletta. Opening hours: Mondays – Fridays 09:00 till 19:00, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays 09:00 till 13:00.

Met Opera Live: Puccini’s La Fanciulla Del West
Part of the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series The Met: Live in HD, Puccini’s La Fanciulla will be shown at St James Cavalier at 19:00. Deborah Voigt sings the title role of the “girl of the golden west,” starring opposite Marcello Giordani. Nicola Luisotti conducts. Tickets are at €20 and €10. Royal Opera House Live: Giselle
Eden Cinemas will be screening the Royal Opera House (London) production of the classic ballet, under the direction of Peter Wright. The end of epiphany and obscure allegory in the Modernist novel
A lecture by Dr Valentino Baldi from the Italian Department, University of Malta at 18:30, Lecture Theatre 1, University campus. Dr Baldi will be comparing the works of Italian author Emilio Gadda and James Joyce.
