Police Academy’s ‘Hightower’ Bubba Smith passes away at age 66
Former NFL American football star and long-time television and movie actor Charles Aaron "Bubba" Smith was found dead in his Los Angeles home.
Smith is perhaps best known for his role in the Police Academy series of comedy movies where he played the lovable and super-strong Moses Hightower.
He was found dead at his home on Thursday. A coroner's reports have not yet been released, but the Los Angeles Times is reporting that it is believed that Smith died of natural causes.
Even before he became an actor, Smith was also a very accomplished NFL star, who retied after in 1976 having played in 111 season games and played with several teams.
