Trailer Park | The Lone Ranger

Though it suffered delays, the Johnny Depp-starring reboot of the vintage western avenging duo looks slick and mass-audience friendly in this new trailer.

Adjusting for political correctness, Johnny Depp's Tonto (left) will be more than just a sidekick to Armie Hammer's Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer, right).

The Lone Ranger is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humour, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.

Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice - taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Disney seem to be gunning (hur, hur) for a franchise with this blockbuster, rebooting the radio drama hero in a slick new Hollywood production which seems to be equal parts Wild Wild West and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.

The film - something of a vanity project for Depp - has, however, been pushed back a couple of times already, leading  many to speculate on 'creative differences' behind the scenes.
