Adapted from the satirical hit novel by Max Brooks and partly filmed in Malta last summer, World War Z sees Brad Pitt as UN agent Gerry Lane who, in the wake of an contagious outbreak that turns people into bloodthirsty zombies, seems to hold the key to mankind's salvation.
Originally slated for a December release, World War Z is scheduled to hit American cinemas in June 2013, presumably due to well-publicised problems that the production has faced over the past year.
