UĦM registers industrial dispute with MPO over legal class workers
The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM)’s government workers’ section has registered an industrial dispute with the Management and Personnel Office of the Prime Minister about the Legal Class employees who are employed in various Government departments and ministries.
A statement issued this morning by section secretary Edwin Balzan explained how the Union was forced to register this industrial dispute after the Government failed to reply to a request that the UĦM had made on 22 June 2010 about the counter-proposals for the collective agreement for these workers.
The Union warned now that this industrial dispute had been registered, the UĦM would take “all necessary measures to safeguard the interest of these workers”.
