The environmental health directorate has issued a warning, advising consumers suffering from a soya allergy to avoid Buitoni Semolina in 250g packets, as the product contains traces of the substance.

Since the company involved declared that part of the consignment, originating from Italy, has been sold in Malta, the directorate is obliged to inform the public of the recall.

The Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health was alerted of the product from information received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.
