73% of the 368 measures proposed by the government in the 2016 budget would be implemented by the end of the year, including measures spread over a number of years but that had progressed further this year, according to Mario Cutajar, principal permanent secretary within the Office of the Prime Minister.

Cutajar, who was addressing a press conference at Auberge de Castille on Monday on the implementation of the 2016 budget, said that 80 more measures had been implemented this year than had been implemented in 2014, and 52 more measures over 2015.

This is the third year that the administration has drawn up a document to explain the progress made on measures proposed in the budget.
