Two people were hospitalised after a collision near the University of Malta on Friday.

Police said the accident happened at around noon.

Preliminary investigations suggest that an Isuzu D-Max collided with a Toyota IQ.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital shortly afterwards, as their condition is unknown.
