Motorcycle driver grievously injured in Msida accident

A motorcycle driver was grievously injured on Sunday after a collision with a car in Msida. 

Police said the accident happened at around 5:30pm in Triq il-Wied. 

Preliminary investigations suggest that a collision occured between a Mazda Demio driven by a 37-year-old man from St Paul's Bay and the motorcycle driven by a 27-year-old Msida resident. 

The victim was aided by a medical team before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries. 

Police investigations are still ongoing.
