Pedestrian grievously hurt after being hit by Toyota Vitz

A 20-year-old man was grievously injured after he was hit by a car in Paola.

The accident happened at around noon on Monday in Triq Għajn Dwieli.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man, who is from Bormla, was struck by a Toyota Vitz driven by a 22-year-old man.

The victim was aided by a medical team before he was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
