Motorcyclist grievously hurt after Rabat collision

A motorcyclist suffered grievous injuries after a collision with a car at 11pm on Tuesday.

The accident happened at Triq is-Sajf ta' San Martin in Rabat.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a Mazda 2 driven by a 19-year-old Dingli resident collided with a Surran Ultra Bee motorcycle driven by the 48-year-old victim who lives in Rabat.

A medical team aided the victim as the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries. 

Police investigations are still ongoing.
