A cement truck toppled over after colliding with a trailer in Birżebbuġa leaving a 49-year-old man from Qormi with grievous injuries.
The accident occured at around 1:30pm on Friday on Triq Ħal Far.
Police arrived on the scene and initial investigations revealed that the accident occurred between a DAF 85 trailer driven by a 44-year-old Msida resident and the DAF CF440 cement truck.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team immediately assisted the 49-year-old man, who was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance where he was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
