A 27-year-old man loses his life in a Qormi traffic accident

A truck driver lost his life after colliding with a trailer in Qormi.
Personnel from the Civil Protection Department were immediately called to the scene at around 11:45am on Triq Ħandaq.
However, the man was certified dead on site.

Preliminary investigations found that the 27-year-old Indian truck driver collided with a DAF CF85 trailer driven by a 39-year-old man from Tarxien.
Police investigations conducted jointly with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has appointed an inquiry.
