Motorcyclist hospitalised after Żejtun collision

A motorcycle driver was grievously injured after a traffic accident in Żejtun on Sunday morning. 

The accident happened at around 7am in Triq il-President Anton Buttiġieġ.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the 42-year-old motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a Daihatsu Sirion driven by an 81-year-old man.

A medical team aided the motorcyclist before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries. 

Police investigations are still ongoing.
