Court sittings resumedtheir normal routine after being temprory interrupted due to a bomb hoax.
Work at the Law Courts in Valletta this morning momentarily ground to a halt after the police received a call alleging a bomb was placed in the Halls.
At around 10:00am court officers and members of the police ushered people and employees out of the building. Dogs form the police K9 section thoroughly searched the area but nothing suspicious was found.
45 minutes later the crowd waiting near the Great Siege Monument was cleared to re-enter the courts, which continued with the sittings as scheduled.
This is the second bomb scare at the Valletta Law Courts since the beginning of this year.

Another Bomb Scare? Oh my God. How many thousands are spent yearly on those electronic machines and security personnel that most people have to go through each day on their entry even if the same persons work there? Even the lower class worker’s lunch goes that screening machine. Some of the Elite at the Law Courts pass through other doors which in my opinion is very unfair and unjust. Isn’t this supposed to the Halls of Justice? If yes then why certain employees pass through other uncontrolled doors? Doesn’t this give a rise to abuse? If one and all pass through this scanning machine, then, the bomb hoax will just be a joke, because security had done it duty.
