Students attending St Thomas More College in Marsascala today had their day cut short after the school was evacuated following a bomb scare.

At around 2:10pm the students were informed that they would be leaving school early and were asked to pack their bags and make their way out in an orderly manner.

As the students made their way out quietly, their parents were waiting outside anxiously after being informed about the bomb scare by the police officers who were on site.

While the students were escorted to their parents outside the school gates, the police’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit inspected the premises.
